Outsource Marketing • January 2018
The number one question we are asked actually comes in many variants.
“Why should I spend money on monthly website maintenance?”
“I have a Marketing Manager, why do I need to hire you as well?”
“We know how Social Media works, why do we need to outsource it?”
“Why should I use you and not GoDaddy’s web builder?”
Essentially: Why do we need to hire you?
And we will answer your question with another one… How Much Is Your Time Worth?
Once a new technology rolls over you, if you’re not part of the steamroller, you’re part of the road. – Stewart Brand
How long will it take you to learn all the latest marketing strategies and technologies?
When your team outsources your marketing, you have access to the latest best practices, tools, strategies, etc. on the market. How much time have you spent researching SEO, SEM, WordPress, CRM, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Google AdWords, Google Search Network, Google Display Network, and more? We do this day in, day out. Technology and platforms are constantly changing. Don’t spend money on something that was so 5 minutes ago.
How long will it take you to hire a team of marketing employees?
Well if you outsource, less than an hour. When you outsource your marketing, you are hiring a team of people. (And at a substantially lower cost than a Full-Time Employee.) An outsourced strategy does not mean you need to replace your Marketing Manager. It just means your marketing strategy will now be efficiently delegated and you will get the most value out of your employees. More bang for your buck, if you will.
How long did it take you to notice the crooked picture in the lobby?
Days? Months? Years? With an outside perspective, you are quick to realize there could be many processes you have been doing without question, that maybe don’t make the most sense. Or maybe there are several ideas you had not thought of, that would work perfectly with your business. We love brainstorming with our clients.
How many hours do you spend understanding the ROI on your marketing strategy?
If you’re marketing team is in-house, and this answer is zero, you may as well throw your dolla-dolla-bills-y’all out the window. We spend a significant amount of time analyzing the data on our marketing strategies because demonstrating your ROI = demonstrating why you should keep us around.
And then there are of course the lay-up questions
How long do you spend optimizing your website each week? Or updating your Facebook? Or writing blog posts? Email campaigns? Newsletters? Designing Ads? Writing Press Releases?
At the end of the day, outsourcing your marketing allows you to do more, with less. Maybe you just need help with one campaign… or maybe just your website…or help with blog posts…advertising campaigns…designing graphics…social media… the list can go on and on. Asking one person to be responsible for every single element of your marketing is a disservice to your business and your business’s bottom line. While your money may be infinite, your time is finite. Trusting (and also verifying) that a team of experts will get the job done for you, will take a lot of time-spent off your hands. So, how much is your time worth?
Price is what you pay. Value is what you get. – Warren Buffett
